I am an artist specialising in oil and watercolour painting.

I share my time between painting oil or watercolour en plein air and painting oil portraits in the studio.

Whatever the subject, I strive to capture what I see in front of me so that I may share the excitement of what initially struck me. I want the viewer to feel the movement of the brush strokes within my paintings. I want to leave the evidence of my thoughts and labours in the marks themselves.

I love the richness of colour and texture attainable in oil paint and the happy accident experimentation of watercolour.
