PRIZE DRAW TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Promoter
The promoter of this prize draw is Simon Crump ("the Promoter").
Eligibility
2.1 The prize draw is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over.
2.2 Immediate family members of the Promoter are not eligible to enter.
2.3 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.
Entry Period
3.1 The prize draw runs from 20 JUNE to 5 JULY 2026.
3.2 Entries received after the closing date and time will not be included in the draw.
How to Enter
4.1 Entry is free and no purchase is necessary.
4.2 To enter, participants must complete the exhibition entry form and provide a valid email address.
4.3 Only one entry per person is permitted unless otherwise stated.
4.4 Incomplete, illegible, or fraudulent entries may be disqualified.
Prize
5.1 The prize consists of one original commissioned oil portrait painted by the Promoter.
5.2 The winner may nominate themselves or another individual (such as a family member or friend) as the portrait subject.
5.3 The portrait will be based on photographic reference material supplied by the winner and approved by the Promoter.
5.4 The portrait will be approximately 20cm x 20cm and created in oil on panel (unframed).
5.5 The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.
5.6 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize with an alternative of equivalent value if circumstances beyond the Promoter's control make this necessary.
Artistic Discretion
6.1 The Promoter retains full artistic discretion regarding composition, style, colour palette, pose, background, and execution of the portrait.
6.2 The Promoter may decline to work from photographs that are of insufficient quality or that contain content the Promoter reasonably considers inappropriate, offensive, unlawful, or unsuitable.
6.3 The completed portrait shall be deemed to satisfy the prize description provided it has been created in good faith by the Promoter.
Winner Selection and Notification
7.1 One winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received before the closing date.
7.2 The draw will take place within 14 days of the closing date.
7.3 The winner will be notified using the email address provided on entry.
7.4 If the winner does not respond within 14 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
Completion and Delivery
8.1 The portrait will be completed within a reasonable period, expected to be approximately 4 months from agreement of the reference material.
8.2 Delivery within mainland United Kingdom is included. Any overseas delivery costs may be payable by the winner unless otherwise agreed.
Publicity and Portfolio Use
9.1 The Promoter may photograph or reproduce images of the completed portrait for portfolio, exhibition, website, social media, promotional, archival, or publication purposes.
9.2 By accepting the prize, the winner confirms that they have obtained the consent of the portrait subject where the subject is a different individual.
9.3 If the portrait subject withdraws consent before completion, the Promoter and winner will discuss reasonable alternatives.
Data Protection
10.1 Personal information supplied for the prize draw will be processed in accordance with the Promoter's Privacy Notice.
10.2 Entry into the prize draw does not automatically subscribe entrants to marketing communications unless they have separately consented to receive such communications.
Liability
11.1 Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11.2 Subject to clause 11.1, the Promoter shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in the prize draw.
General
12.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms where reasonably necessary.
12.2 The Promoter's decision in relation to the prize draw is final.
12.3 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

• Administer the prize draw
• Contact the winner
• Respond to enquiries
• Send marketing emails where you have specifically consented to receive them
Legal Basis for Processing
For administration of the prize draw, I process your information because it is necessary to perform the prize draw and fulfil the associated terms.
For marketing emails, I rely on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Marketing Communications
If you choose to receive marketing emails, I may send information about:
• New artwork
• Exhibitions
• Commissions
• Events
• Newsletters
You may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in emails or by contacting me directly.
Sharing Information
I do not sell your personal information.
I may share information with service providers who help me operate my mailing list or website, but only where necessary and subject to appropriate safeguards.
Retention
Prize draw entries will be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to administer the draw and deal with any related enquiries.
Marketing subscribers will remain on my mailing list until they unsubscribe or request deletion.
Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
